Privacy stuff isn't exactly thrilling reading, but it matters. At Blight Venom Architecture, we're pretty straightforward about what we do with your info. This policy breaks down how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you interact with our studio - whether that's through this site, emails, or when you stop by our Vancouver office.
We're not in the business of hoarding data. We only grab what's needed to work with you or respond to your inquiries:
We're architects, not advertisers. Here's what we do with your data:
We don't sell your information - that's just not our thing. But sometimes we need to share it with:
Everyone we work with is bound by confidentiality agreements and professional standards.
We take security seriously. Our systems use encryption, secure servers, and access controls. Only team members who need your info to do their job can access it. We regularly update our security measures and keep our software patched. That said, no system's completely bulletproof, but we're doing everything reasonable to protect your data.
Our website uses cookies - those little data files that help the site work better. We use them for analytics (understanding how people use the site) and functionality (remembering your preferences). You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features might not work as smoothly. We use Google Analytics to track site performance, which means Google processes some data according to their own privacy policy.
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA), you've got some solid rights:
Just shoot us an email at studio@blightvenom.info if you want to exercise any of these rights.
Project files and contracts? We're legally required to keep those for at least seven years after project completion - it's an architecture thing. General inquiries and marketing contacts get reviewed annually, and we'll delete what we don't need. Financial records follow Canadian tax law requirements. Once the retention period's up and there's no legal reason to keep it, we securely delete or anonymize your data.
Our site might link to other websites - suppliers, partners, inspiration sources. Once you click through, you're on their turf and their privacy policies apply. We can't control what they do, so check their policies if you're concerned.
We might update this policy occasionally - usually when laws change or we adjust our practices. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Major changes? We'll let existing clients know directly. Otherwise, the updated version goes live here and it's on you to check in now and then.
Got questions about how we handle your data? Want to request access or deletion? Just reach out. We're humans, not robots, and we're here to help.
